There’s nothing better than a good 3 course meal and a well made beverage, so when we were invited to attend the Lexus Supper Club event at Komali, we were right on it!
For the past month Modern Luxury Dallas and Lexus have teamed up to create the Lexus Supper Club program, a celebration of talented chefs behind the kitchens at some of the most buzzed-about restaurants in the Dallas area.
Meet Chef Abraham Salum
This month the VIP dinner was hosted at Komali by Chef Abraham Salum. Being that Jt and Amy come from a heritage where homemade tortillas on Sunday were a norm, we were thrilled to see what dishes chef Salum had in store for us.
Owner and chef Abraham Salum has taken the idea of Mexican flavors to a new level by incorporating his traditional way of cooking into Tex-Mex fine cuisines. “The restaurant takes its name from the native Aztec word for an open fire griddle used by the people of Mexico to prepare tortillas and toast cacao beans for coffee.” His idea of replacing chili sauces with delicate tomatillo sauces, unique moles, handmade tortillas and queso combined with dried chilies to “compliment different types of meats and fresh seafood” are no comparison to other fine Tex-Mex foods. http://www.komalirestaurant.com/about
As the night continued, we featured some of our favorite beverages and dishes for the night.
