When we were invited to the Salt Cave of Southlake, we had no clue what to expect. A cave? Filled with Himalayan salt? Was this supposed to be a completely blissful spa experience, or some sort of holistic therapy?
As it turns it, we got a little bit of both.

So what exactly are the benefits of halotherapy, aside from the fact that it’s totally and completely relaxing? There are many.
“[It’s] 100 percent anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antibacterial,” Shelly Jackson, the Salt Cave of Southlake’s owner and a registered nurse, told Texas Homes for Sale. "These amazing properties help treat the symptoms of many common ailments, including cold [and] flu, asthma, allergies, as well as skin ailments like psoriasis, eczema and acne.”
