Today my focus was try on something that out of my norm. I was in search of a colorful skirt, but I wanted to pick out a top that was not my usual style. I wanted it to be different and versatile, but still me at the same time.
So ladies, here is what I found:
Top by Lucy & Co – This top was a piece that I would have never of thought to try because it was cropped. Being that I have a wider waistline, I think cropped tops can tend to make my waist look a little wider (in my opinion.. every woman has their thing). So as a way to help me branch out of my normal style, I used my number one saying that I always use when I try something new, “take it in baby steps.” I found a solid white top that was a good in between a cropped top and regular top – it had a cropped lining inside, so you saw skin, but it was still a little bit covered.
Skirt by Weston – I’m always a fan of fun prints, so I knew I had to try this one on! It hit right above the waist and was knee length. I also loved the fact that the fabric stretched enough to where it didn’t tug at the hips and it hit the body in all the right places to give you a nice hourglass look.
Ring: VIR Agate Slice Ring - I always love a good statement ring. This particular piece was made with a very deep purple agate gemstone and had gold around the rim. It had “statement” written all over it.
