Earlier this May we were kindly invited to attend the “Day the Races” event that took place at the historic Arlington Hall at Lee Park. This “Derby Day” party was a way for the Dallas community to raise funds for the preservation and conservation of our historic Arlington Hall as well as the further development of Lee Park.
Guests were encouraged to dress in classic Kentucky Derby chic, and the event featured a number of Southern cuisines, Mint Juleps, Best Hat and Best Dressed Contests, cigar rolling, dancing, photos by Longhorn Photo Booth, a silent auction, live music by Hunter Sullivan and race day "gaming".

As a huge fan of the Derby, I couldn’t have been more excited to pick out something to wear! I had heard a lot of great reviews about a boutique called Movida located in Mockingbird Station, so I went to go check it out. Due to their great selection and great service I ended up walking out with this little number!

We also enjoyed live tunes by the Hunter Sullivan band!
Our good friend and one of our local favorite musicians, Ashley Mahon took the stage with Hunter Sullivan!
